If you were at our North Newnton meeting you will have taken the words “Rise up and walk” (Acts 3:6) away with you. As you pray for the Group, you may like to consider what the Lord is saying to us, in those words.
‘One thought’
‘Rise up & walk’. If we are going to take a risk for God, the first thing we have to do is stand up (rise). Obvious! But I see ‘rising up’ as a sign to God that we are willing to accept the task he has for us. The walking, - is doing that task.
Something is telling me that, at the moment, we don’t have to worry about the task; but need to concentrate on rising up; on admitting to ourselves & God that we need help in being obedient, that we need courage to offer ourselves to whatever it is God wants of us, that, like Peter who attempted to walk on water, we need to keep focused on Jesus & not the storm around us.
